#Fronteers09

2009-11-07

The past two days I was at the Fronteers 09 conference. It was really interesting and I've seen and listened to some amazing stuff (and some lesser amazing stuff, obviously :)). I've written a few things down to experiment with and I'll post my findings as I find them...

I've also met a lot of people, seen Twitter on a whole other level, seen some do's and don'ts at conferences, got to learn a bit about Amsterdam, nearly got "stuck" in Utrecht on the way home and generally had a good experience. At the end of the line, it seemed as if I had spent two weeks there (the conference was two days..).

I'm really interested in getting more into this. But it's going to be hard to determine what area to focus my attention on. There's just so much. Luckily I'll have a while before I'm going to have to make a career choice in that matter. But it seems to me that the future might not be as bright as I'd like it to be. That's mostly geographically related though. For doing the real cool stuff, I'd have to move to the States for a while, since that's where the major players are located at. And that's something I don't see happening any time soon, mostly due to my partner. And since she has priority over anything, I'll have to let some other stuff go...

Ohwell, let's try out the cool new stuff I've written down. I should really make better notes next time I'm at a conference :)
